Meet Madison Wisdom
Sculptural Ceramic Artist | Storyteller Through Clay
At 22 years old, I have been shaping my artistic voice through pottery for the past 8 years. My work blends functionality and symbolism, primarily focusing on wall altars, incense holders, skulls, and eyes, with intricate underglaze decals that draw the viewer deeper into the layers of meaning.
Art has always been my sanctuary, but two months ago, my life took a dramatic turn when I survived a heart attack. This near-death experience, alongside my ongoing challenges with SVT (Supraventricular Tachycardia) and Hashimoto’s, profoundly changed my relationship with my craft. Facing mortality brought clarity, purpose, and an unshakable desire to create pieces that reflect the fragility and resilience of the human spirit.
My sculptures aren’t just objects; they’re vessels of introspection, infused with personal narratives and universal themes of transformation and survival. The skulls represent life’s impermanence, while the eyes symbolize the soul’s ever-watchful awareness.
Each piece is meticulously crafted to serve as a reminder of the sacredness in the everyday—a space for reflection, healing, and connection. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to honor their journeys and see beauty in every crack, shadow, and imperfection.
Thank you for visiting my world of clay. Every piece holds a story, and I’m honored to share it with you.
